Music Teaching Testimonials

  • "We feel very lucky to have found Alex. He is an outstanding drum teacher. My son is autistic and has ADHD whilst Alex has demonstrated patience, reliability and constant support."

  • "Alex has been teaching me to play the drums for three months. I'm probably not the usual demographic for wanting to learn to play drums (I'm 67!) but Alex is a brilliant teacher showing endless patience as I struggle with self-confidence in my ability. I would thoroughly recommend him as a tutor."

Kim and Paul Smith - Parents of Drum Student

  • Alex is an excellent drum teacher, my son really enjoys the lessons and is improving rapidly. Alex knows his stuff, and is able to make the understanding of theory accessible and the practice enjoyable. It is a real benefit that Alex is an assessor for Rock School as it saves having to book exams elsewhere, meaning it is a quicker, easier process. I would highly recommend him to others.

  • I have been playing drums as a hobby and at times professionally and taking lessons for over 14 years. I was looking for someone who could challenge my comfort zones and expand my playing while also isolating problem areas that needed work to improve and grow my playing. My first lesson with Alex was relaxed and educational and his passion for the drums and teaching was clear. If you are looking for someone who truely cares about teaching and growing an artist and sharing the passion that is music, look no further.
